The most persecuted person on the planet is the individual. We are all a minority of one, and when the “collective” (majority rule, government etc.) dictates, it is the gathering of many individuals to dictate to each individual. Take a look at yourself for a moment. Are you an individual, or just part of a machine? If you’re an individual, then you have your own personal likes and dislikes. You have things that are important to you, and things that are not important to you.
How do you “feel” (it’s all about feelings these days instead of principles, facts and beliefs) when someone tells you what to do, and you don’t want to do it. Even better, how do you feel when someone tells you what to do, and yet they don’t do it themselves? That’s known as hypocrisy. The “collective” has managed to run everybody’s life, and we all are looking for a defense mechanism. The only one available is to join a “collective” that shares our opinion on a particular issue, and then we can take political action as a “special interest”!
Of course those in the particular “special interest” may not agree on other things. Then what? Join another “special interest” “collective” and so on. What happened to individuality? It has been usurped by the “collective”. Collectives (another term is group think) are unjust and very expensive at the cost of your paycheck, your freedom, your opinion, your mind, your property, and ultimately, your individuality .
