What Will It Take To Make Things Work In This Country? Libertarianism?

Ron Paul

You would agree with the following; “The borrower is slave to the lender.”  That wisdom is before central banking, and it’s thousands of years old from Proverbs 22:7.  My point is that the Bible is not just a bunch of pious, pithy, punctiliously purveyed prophetic pandering.  Nor is it just a book of history and/or Theology.  It has wisdom in it, and it is wisdom, in some cases to the reader, familiar, and in other cases, unfamiliar.  As a once registered Libertarian and political candidate,  this writer understands much of their thinking, and finds the Libertarian premise comes up short when the say; “Do no harm.”

Why?  They don’t understand what “harm” is!  Here’s an example; Libertarians, who are opposed to Socialism, have (generally) no problem with homosexuality, and yet the homosexual community which is tightly knit and politically active and now even powerful, is highly socialistic in their economic ideology. That means they want to steal from everyone so they can spend the money they collect through taxes to indulge their every desire.  That is a “harm” that cannot be denied by those who have had the fruits of their labor taken from them and utilized for something they either find repugnant, or that provides them little or no benefit in proportion to what was taken from them.

Suffering from an ideological and idyllic perspective on how the world should be can frustrate and agitate people (on the left and right both).  The reason for our problems can be clarified in the book of Romans Chapter 3:10 – 18.  Libertarians are under the impression that, if the right people should be in office, all will be well under the rule of man.  From Romans, you can see that is never going to be the case.  Wisdom!  Wisdom of the ages can lead us aright, and casting off that wisdom of the ages can plunge us into the pit of Hell.  Hopefully, this is a valid point to which the reader may one day ascribe, if not already!  Things will only be right under the rule of the God of the Bible, and even then, the sinful nature of man is such that there will still be problems.
