Does the fact that someone is wealthy, holds an elected office, is prominent in the community, has had degrees conferred upon them, holds a fiduciary position, or has a position of trust and/or authority, allow for them to do something that is wrong? If so, then should not any and everyone who chooses to do that wrong be allowed to do so? Who decides what is wrong? Is it a majority? Is it a minority? Is it one who is listed in the first question?
Now, if you have been able to answer the above questions, then answer this; what do you do with the people who disagree with those who say a wrong is right? What do you do with those who say a wrong is still a wrong and they determine that it is a fundamental wrong that society cannot accept if it is to survive? Should they be killed? Should they be silenced? Have you ever disagreed with someone over a major and fundamental issue? How do you deal with people who find it repugnant to be taxed to pay for what they believe is something morally wrong?
How do you deal with the fact that when abortion was first allowed, the proponents argued it would be “rare and safe” – 59 million abortions since Roe vs. Wade is not rare! How do you deal with the people who argued that it was the slippery slope to late term abortions and euthanasia? The proponents of abortions said; “Oh no, that could never happen.” Now that it has happened, how do you address those who said it couldn’t happen? How will you address those same mindless, immoral, non-visionary people who say that killing defective (MS, Downs etc.) children up to the age of 5 could never happen. How will you address those same people who say that “FORCED” euthanasia upon the old and infirm could never happen? Caring for the old is very expensive, and the government is doing the major portion of that, and the government has run out of money, so will they have to say no care for the old and infirm? Will they decide that it is cheaper to terminate the life of the old and infirm as opposed to palliative (pain free but nothing aggressive) care? If so, what will you say to those people when that time comes?
What will you say when the time comes for you to go because you are too expensive to care for? What will your children say? They may be tired of caring for you, or desperate for an inheritance, and go along with the idea – did you train them with a moral standard that would oppose that? Was your moral standard whatever you felt was “right” or “wrong” based upon you feelings instead of objective and eternal truth? You can shake your fist at God and violate His laws, but that won’t change the outcome of reality and the curses that will come upon you for having tried to defy and ignore His will. Are you capable of looking beyond your belly today and your prosperity tomorrow? Think about it!
