    1. Scroll down below the picture of Senator Chuck Schumer for the WSJ article. Lack of windmill power wasn’t the only reason, but it does show that windmills when they freeze up, or the wind doesn’t blow, or the solar panels are covered with snow or the sun doesn’t shine, are serious issues that the Mother Earth worshiping, warm and fuzzy, “Green New Dealers” have not considered. Wait until electric cars are dominant, and cold places like New York, New Jersey etc. get hit. Internal combustion engines create heat for cars without increasing the dissipation of gasoline, but batteries will run out their charges quite rapidly creating heat. Electric vehicles in cold times will either force people to be freezing in their cars or give up 80% or more of their range, and EV’s ranges are pretty pathetic right now with the exception of top of the line Tesla which gives you nearly 500 miles if all goes well. And, try putting out a battery fire when they blow up. https://youtu.be/CdaFk3w6rUY?t=2 And, ask yourself where does the electricity for the cars come from? You guessed it – coal and gas predominantly with a nominal amount coming from UNRELIABLE solar and wind power. But, warm and fuzzy is good right? And P.S. No thanks to Suk Mhudik – that’s for perverts.
