In 1980 there was an economic collapse; I earned commission from sales which caused my sales and income to decline 35%.  Inflation was 2% per month, and so all totaled, I was  55% behind.  Mortgage rates skyrocketed to 15%, making  impossible selling a house.  I was building a semi-custom home through a tract builder.  My savings became exhausted; I lost both homes and moved into a smaller home.  I was not pleased.

I said, “How can my government do this to me?”  That began my political activism.  Tongue-in-cheek I quipped; “My membership in the John Birch Society was revoked because I was too far to the right.”  At that time, I knew nothing about the John Birch Society – JBS, except they were a conservative organization.

My quip to a mentor friend (my father’s contemporary) led me to an event where I met a group of well-dressed men and women.  Listening to them I determined that they were very erudite and knowledgeable about current events.  It was the JBS Speaker’s Bureau, and the speaker was General Andrew Gatsis Ret (he oversaw the U.S. withdrawal from Viet Nam).  I listened to him and nodded as he made everything clear that had been so muddy before.

Shortly after that, I joined the JBS, and became friendly with Colorado State Representative Erickson.  The JBS works to expose the conspiracy that seeks to destroy America and enslave the world under world government – better known as the New World Order (NWO).   I was concerned, and he told me not to worry.  He said; “When they make their move, they will have to show their hand.”

That’s exactly what happened, but not in the way that I envisioned.  The corporate media was their vehicle, and they showed their hand!
