We’ll get to what 2KT is in a moment. First, let’s examine “democracy”. Some have described it as two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner. Biblically, Adam and Eve voted 2 to 1 against God when they chose to eat of the “forbidden fruit”. The bottom line is that the concept of democracy is when 50% + 1 = a majority that decides for everyone. This concept is contrary to the Constitution which was based upon fixed moral laws (standards) which protected the minority from the majority. Failing to understand this feature (distinction) leads to the path of tyranny and destruction.

America’s Constittuion provides us with a “Republic”! You will not find the word democracy anywhere in the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution.

It is clear that a major founding father of America was opposed to establishing a national religion. At the same time, religion cannot be equated with God’s law which is written on the hearts of all men Romans 2:14 & 15. No society (civilization) can survive without law! Anarchists will prove that by their own hypocrisy. The Constitution provides a foundation for civil and moral laws, and mentions that we are “endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights – life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Scripture refers to men who are happy when they are under God’s authority and blessing i.e. Proverbs 3:13, 16:20, 28:14 and Psalm 144:15. Therefore, “happiness” is a Biblical concept. The Constitution does not imply either material or spiritual happiness specifically as the endowment.

The Constitution signs off with “in the year of our Lord…”, which is based upon the birth of Jesus Christ. It is clear that although no established religion was to be put into place in America, God’s moral law applied!

Now, let’s examine briefly 2KT which is an abbreviation for Two Kingdom Theology. The fundamentals of 2KT are simple; there is the sacred (church) and the secular (state), and the two shall have nothing to do with each other. Put another way, the state shall not tell the church what to do, and the church shall not tell the state what to do. Fair enough as far as administrative and/or ideological and philosophical approaches. But what about morality? Is the state immune to the needs for a consistent and righteous morality to be implemented? Psalm 33:12 says a nation is blessed when God is their Lord. Proverbs 14:34 says “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Sin is any violation of God’s moral law. Now, if a Christian people (and the church they make up), turn a blind eye to Proverbs 14:34 by taking on the 2KT and divorcing the church and the Gospel from the law, then what can we possibly expect?

This writer believes that the Christian community, with and through the church, has turned over our nation to wickedness. One prime example would be the fact that until 1966, homosexuality was illegal in all 50 states of the United States. In 1966, the state of Illinois decriminalized homosexuality. Had the church been on its toes, so to speak, that would never have happened. , and since then, it’s been down hill; from decriminalization to acceptance, to legalization, to church membership, to allowing for marriage of same sex partners, to holding office in churches, to Christians (among others) supporting homosexuality with their tax dollars, to adoption of children by homosexuals, to acceptance of pedophilia, to the mutilation of children’s genitalia (also taxpayer funded) for the purpose of transgenderism. What’s next?

It must be understood, that homosexuals are at war with God, and they will never relent nor compromise with God or His followers (the church). Either the church will fully accept homosexuality and embrace it whole heartedly, or it will embrace God’s moral law order whole heartedly. There is no middle ground! Remember that homosexuality is virtually the only sin referred to in Scripture as an “abomination”, or put another way, a paritcularly egregious sin.

Therefore, it is, in the opinion of this writer, that 2KT is an egregious error of doctrine contrary to Biblical teaching, and if the church wants to survive in any meaningful way, they must reject that philosophy and restore God’s moral law order! Back to democracy – what’s for dinner? Wolves or Christians?
