Fourth Of July Follow Up Thought About Freedom For All!

Freedom Verses Control

If everyone is not free, then nobody is free.  That thought was made abundantly clear by a man who enslaved over a billion people and caused the deaths of over 100 million people.

Who was that man?  What did he do or say that revealed the above truth?  The man was Karl Marx who wrote the Communist Manifesto which became the play book for the most tyrannical, oppressive and murderous system of government in all of history.

So what did Marx say that clarified the reality of freedom?  “When free men are compelled to compete with slaves, free men will become slaves.”  He also said; “From each according to his ability; to each according to his need.”  When government defines one’s needs and abilities, we’re all in big trouble!  If all men are free then competition will reign supreme and men will be paid for their skills, knowledge and production, and they will do it joyfully and willingly.

Only governments can enslave people, and that is achieved through taxation, regulation, the elimination of privacy and highly regulated movement.  Public humiliation is also a good tool.
