The scam works as follows (NOTE: this is a scam using Amazon, and Amazon is not involved), an item is offered at an attractive price (likely a high ticket item – over $500) and the seller sends a package with an inexpensive unrelated content, and so they can say to Amazon they shipped the item, when in fact they didn’t.
