Mental Illness – Something To Think About! 1 In 6 Americans Today Are On Some Kind Of Psychiatric Drug!!!

A Google search of pictures of the mentally ill will include people with guns and conservative politicians (you may find a Christian or two in there as well).  What is mental illness, who defines it, and how is it diagnosed?  Is all mental illness dangerous?

The “recognized” authority on mental illness would have to be psychiatrists, and they are primarily represented by the American Psychiatric Association (APA).  From their own web site, here is their definition and comments:

“Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in thinking, emotion or behavior (or a combination of these). Mental illnesses are associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work or family activities.

Mental illness is common. In a given year:

  • nearly one in five (19 percent) U.S. adults experience some form of mental illness
  • one in 24 (4.1 percent) has a serious mental illness
  • one in 12 (8.5 percent) has a substance use disorder*

Mental illness is treatable. The vast majority of individuals with mental illness continue to function in their daily lives.”  {A very necessary question to ask here; does the APA and its members have any kind of vested (meaning for profit) interest in this assessment?}

Let’s parse this definition above.  “Changes in thinking, emotion or behavior (or a combination of these”); does that include switching from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party?  Maybe it could be applied to someone who goes from being a sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll fanatic to a Christian conservative?  “Emotion” would include feelings, and people are always being asked “How do you feel about….?”  “Behavior” is of course observable where emotions are not.  So, if you go from sitting around naked in front of your computer viewing porn on the internet every Sunday morning while drinking a few slugs of whiskey or smoking some dope, to getting up Sunday morning, dressing nicely and going to church, is that not a change in behavior?

Then, we must ask whether the change in behavior is a.) “normal”, and b.) within acceptable norms.  Here’s an APA method of determining “normal”: Normal curve The symmetrical curve that represents the distribution of scores on many psychological attributes; allows researchers to make judgments of how unusual an observation or result is, and if that’s not vague enough to allow a freight train through the Grand Canyon, then what is?  Now, let’s evaluate what was normal 50 years ago compared to today.

50 years ago, it was normal for people who got married to be one man and one woman – ideally for life.  The purpose of marriage was to procreate children, contribute to the benefit of society, and to have a life companion.  Go back further, and it was also to glorify God.  Now, normal is sex outside of marriage with whomever you please and as many as you please regardless of the sex (gender – a twisting of the meaning), and not for the purpose of anything other than self indulgent pleasure even if it means sexually transmitted diseases which, in some cases, have lifelong and even life shortening negative consequences.  So, with the “new normal” (a part of the English lexicon now), the heterosexual marriage between one man and one woman is rapidly becoming abnormal.

50 years ago, abortion was a “back alley” event that was frowned upon and illegal.  The doctor, or person, performing it was considered a criminal.  Now, government approved and subsidized abortions number over a million a year – the new normal.  50 years ago, kids had Olympic inspired shooting competitions at school, and there were no mass shootings.  Now, if you even form your thumb and index finger in the simulation of a gun, you can be expelled from school and come under psychiatric evaluation – another new normal (even the mathematical symbol for square root, √, has come under scrutiny.  50 years ago, homosexuality was “abnormal” and the APA recognized it as such, although soon after, they eliminated it from the “abnormal” status.  50 years ago, transgenderism was not even in the English language let alone discussed in polite company.  Now it is receiving deferential treatment, and those who reject it will soon become abnormal.  50 years ago, recreational drug use was frowned upon, and it was illegal in all 50 states.  Now, you can smoke dope in many states in America, and do it publicly and legally.  50 years ago, pedophilia was not only illegal, but not even discussed in polite company.  Now, pedophilia has a protected status, and even a lobbying arm to Congress.  Those who want to protect their children from pornographic content in school, and keep them from predator pedophiles are becoming anachronistic, and “abnormal”.  50 years ago, gang rape was only whispered about, and might have involved two or three miscreants.  Now, it’s perpetrated on thousands of girls through what is called Muslim (or Islamic) “Grooming” which is scores if not hundreds of Muslim men gang raping women in England, Sweden and elsewhere.  Will that be the new normal for America some day?

The bottom line is do we want a bunch of self-interested degenerate psychiatrists and psychologists defining what’s normal?  Do we want a corrupt government helping to create the new normal to facilitate this radical transformation of our culture?  As the slide progresses, the slippery slope gets steeper and steeper until nobody can avoid the slide to the bottom, and those who resist will be dragged down with the rest.  America, your time is short – wake up!
