If there are over 1,400 cryptocurrencies, how does a retailer or individual know which ones are legitimate?  How do they know the value of those cryptocurrencies.  Don’t get “value” and “price” confused.  1 oz. of gold minted 1000 years ago, is still 1 oz. of gold.  That value never changes, but the price of that 1 oz. can and does change.  On the other hand, there is no “fixed” 1 oz. value to a Bitcoin, Etherium etc.  Be careful to keep value in sight at all times.  Value doesn’t change, but prices do, and prices can go through the roof (tulip mania) or crash through the floor (tulip mania)
