You may not be a Christian, and you may not be a Muslim, but that doesn’t matter. What you need to be is an intellectually honest logical thinker. If you were a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and someone came to your meeting handing out bottles of booze, then you might find that just a little contradictory, and maybe even unproductive or downright offensive.
The link below is not only an example of this kind of contradictory thinking, but it is an example of what happens when people who have been poorly taught allow for that interloper to come into their presence and foist something antithetical and/or dangerous to your belief systems. It is the fruit of bad teaching and wimpy political correctness.
What is the point in saying “I believe….” if indeed you don’t really know what you believe, or you are not convinced of your beliefs, or you can be swayed easily without examining the facts of the matter. That’s a rhetorical question – there is no point!
Foundational belief systems should not change quickly or easily. They are that upon which societies and civilizations are built, and the glue that holds them together in difficult times. They must be revered and defended. They didn’t get that status by being adopted overnight – they are the fruit of expeience and knowledge for multiple generations.
