Democracy is older than most people might imagine. It has a very devastating history as well. The above picture is one example where a mob hangs an innocent man. In a republic (rule by law not mob), the sheriff would have arrived in time to arrest the accused and protect him from the mob. Going back further another atrocious example of democracy was the French Revolution – very ugly and brutal. As James Madison said HERE, democracies are short lived and die violent deaths.

But, for an example of the 1st democracy, demonstrated for the whole world, we must go back to the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve out voted God 2 to 1 on eating the “forbidden fruit”! The majority ruled on that decision, although God had already established how that disobedience would be adjudicated. In other words, democracy is a stupid idea. That’s not to say that majority rule is never o.k.. Majority rule is o.k. as long as it doesn’t violate God’s law, or what is known as “common law” which is based upon man’s understanding and an updated application of God’s law. Marority rule in the election of leaders is actually Biblical as demonstrated in the book of Acts. Democracy on the other hand, as it is sold to people today, has no limits on corrupt moral turpitude.

Today, in America, democracy has taken over, and it consistently violates God’s laws. What shall we as a people expect? This writer suggests, chaos, military defeats, disregard for human life, invasion by foreigners and migrants, corrupt political leaders, extreme poverty, massive crime, loss of rights, injustices, heavy taxation and regulation, oppression, enslavement, plagues, famines, droughts, irreverance toward legitimate authority, Godly spiritual deprivation and who knows what else?
