Integrity is mentioned several times in the Bible. Proverbs 10:9, Proverbs 11:3 – 5, Psalm 7:8 to name a few and there are likely more. Integrity is usually juxtaposed with other words such as uprightness, righteousness, blameless, undefiled, just, speaking truth etc. Scripture is replete with a clear message that there is nothing good in man, and that it is the Holy Spirit working in man that makes the difference. And yet, there is the man. So, when we speak of a man having integrity from a Scriptural point of view, it means that the Lord is working in his life to keep him on the straight and narrow path doing what is right. On that basis, one can rely upon that person with “integrity” to be reliable in always doing what’s right. As David says in Psalm 15, “He who swears to his own hurt, and does not change!” This writer always says that his integrity is his biggest asset! One cannot put a price on integrity – the moment he does, he has lost it!
