Look into how we invented Thorium breeder reactors back in the 60s. we even built one.

-We have enough proven Thorium fuel in our coal reserves to supply all of our energy needs for hundreds of thousands of years 

-We can extract Thorium from the coal and then use the electrity from the reactors to convert the coal to diesel oil.

But it is bad for bank and war profits …. so it won’t happen until we are done fighting and loaning money over oil.
