Law = Warfare!

When that gavel comes down, it is the sound of warfare! The law is warfare against those who violate the law. The implementation of the law to enforce that which is good, and punish that which is bad, is the appropriate application of the law. So where’s the rub? The rub is in how good and bad are defined, and by whom are they defined.

If good and bad are defined by the objective source of the Bible and the GOD Who wrote it, then there is a possiblity for true justice and an orderly and peaceful society. Since the inception of man and history, there has been a continual battle between good and bad – peace has never fully existed, although a substantial peace has existed when the law order was based upon GOD’s law, and only a nominal peace has existed when the law order has been based upon man’s law.

Today in America, and for the most part, through out the world, man’s law seems to be prevailing over GOD’s law. Within the spititual realm, there will never be peace between Heaven and Hell, but on earth, the lines are not drawn so clearly. The following are examples of the contrast in today’s society.

Under GOD’s law, murder, stealing, lying, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, blasphemy are all contrary forms of behavior (sin). Under man’s law, all of the above have been made legal, or substantially legal – i.e. murder under abortion laws and feelings of being threatened, stealing as long as it’s under $950.00 per incident, lying goes without saying even including perjury, sexual behavior has no limits even to the extent of child sex trafficking and rape, and blasphemy is rampant in the public arena.

The net result is Hell on earth for those who seek liberty in Christ. For those who seek to be enslaved to sin, it is a paradise! It seems that the church today is quite willing to compromise with the enemies of GOD, and as such, they have even invited in and embraced those enemies without following Christs’s command to call them to repentance!

The church is described as the “Bride of Christ” in the New Testament. It appears that the “Bride” has been sullied to a preponderant extent. There are some leaders in the church today who still hold to preserving the church from deterioration as regards the moral law, but they see no Biblical mandate to go outside the church into the “world” to speak out against and take action to oppose all of the bad that rears its ugly head. This is the fruit of pietism and 2 Kingdom Theology.

As the saying goes, “Nature abhors a vacuum!”, and therefore, if the church pulls out of its public responsibility to speak against and oppose those things that are contrary to the law of GOD as presented in the entire Bible (not just the New testament), then there will be a moral vacuum which will be filled by all sorts of bad people and bad behavior.

It is worth noting, that Jesus says; “Those who are not for Me are against Me.”, which draws a very clear line. Jesus says in John 14:15 – 25 (four times in succession – the only time that is done in all of Scripture) “If you love me, you’ll keep my commandments!”, and He even says the fourth time; “Those who hate Me, don’t keep my commandments.” The mainstream of Christianity’s teaching (which also comports with Scripture) is that Jesus Christ is Deity – GOD in the flesh. You’ll hear that in the Christmas Carol Hark the Herald Angels Sing (midway into verse 2 – Immanuel means “GOD with us”). Isaiah 9:6 affirms this as well!

If that is true, then Christ’s commands are GOD’s commands. Apart from the ceremonial and sacrificial laws, Christ came to fulfill them, but not abolish the moral and civil law. Now, the civil law is subject to some modifications as societies progress, but never at the expense of the moral law!

If that is a true assessment, then what is the church doing tolerating all of the sin that was outlawed in America over 200 years ago. Yes, 200 years ago, in America, all of the above listed crimes in paragraph 4 were against the law and punishable under the law. This means the church has been indolent in opposing all of this bad. As we know, politics is the refuge for scoundrels (criminals, sinners, anti-Christs, etc.). There’s that sucking sound again (vacuum) pulling in the enemies of GOD’s law and substituting the laws of Satan which are always the exact opposite of GOD’s laws. Godly men and women need to fill the vacuum.

If you’re in a church and consider yourself a believer, then you must ask yourself if your church, and you. are doing all that you can to love, honor and obey Jesus Christ, or are you retreating into a warm and fuzzy cocoon known as the modern day church? Are you and your church being salt and light to the world, or just to your fellow church members? Are you advancing and preserving the kingdom of GOD, or just treading spiritual water? Who is prevailing; the church, or the gates of Hell? GOD’s law is at war with Satan and his agents of bad – whose side are you on? If GOD’s side, demonstrate it! He’s watching!
