Atheists, agnostics, and other non-Christian religious views do not believe that America is being judged. In the Biblical history, GOD judges a nation by another nation in war, or by various curses such as droughts, famines, plagues, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, economic collapse and pestilence.

To the unbeliever, ther is no GOD controlling these issues, and therefore it is the result of anthropogenic global climate change, or some failure on the part of government to either constrain or restrain human behavior. The state becomes god i.e. Communism. Either way, if there is no GOD, then all rests upon mankind. The burden that mankind is taking on to fight these problems becomes heavier and heavier all of the time, and the solutions become more and more convoluted and complex while at the same time becoming less and less effective! Man’s solutions are failing miserably, and he is so wicked, that he can’t see it and won’t admit it!

In Deuteronomy 28, Moses, in his farewell address to the nation of Israel, points out that obedience to GOD’s laws will bring blessings which he lists in abundance. Failure to obey GOD’s laws will bring curses which he also lists in abundance, and which are upon America to a significant degree right now! It is noteworthy when speaking that Moses does not declare “if you disobey”, but instead says; “when you disobey”. It is a fait au compli in that GOD has predestined it!

In the book of John 14:15 -24, Jesus throws down the gauntlet so to speak. He makes it abundantly clear through multiple repetitions that if you love Him, you will keep His commands, and if you hate Him, you won’t keep His commands. The emphasis and meaning could not be clearer. Collosians 1:15 – 20, makes it abundantly clear that Jesus Christ is GOD in the flesh and has been around since the beginning, and is The Creator. As such, that also makes Him the Author of the Old Testament laws.

If He is GOD in the flesh and the Author of the O.T. laws, then keeping His commands are an imperative if you love Him. (And, is there anywhere in the Bible where the civil government is exempted from GOD’s laws?) Why then do “professing” Christians either ignore His laws, or decline to apply them in the public arena as part of the civil body politic? Could it be that they don’t love Him? Could it be that they are cowards? Could it be they seek “peace when there is no peace”? Could it be that they do not want to confront the world with GOD’s law because it offends people? Jesus Christ was very offensive – it got Him crucified! Could it be that “Christians” have chosen ignorance over knowledge? Could it be that the seminaries are just tools of Satan any more? The people (sheep) will follow their leaders (shepherds).

If you don’t see GOD’s judgement upon America and the world today, then take another look – especially after reading Deuteronomy 28. Is the solution to global warming (climate change) to reduce fossil fuel consumption? Is the solution to crime to coddle criminals and tell them they are victims of their environment? Is the solution to overpopulation (if that exists) abortion? Is the solution in man’s ingenuity and rebellion, or in keeping GOD’s commands? You decide, but remember, man makes his plans, but GOD guides his footsteps Proverbs 16:9. Ignorance of GOD’s law is no excuse Proverbs 24:11,12.
