Many Scripture verses deal with the sufferings of Christians HERE! The suffering may be brought on by natural disasters such as flooding, famine, fighting along with drought, death and destruction. All these are outside the purview of the Christian’s actions.

Persecution, on the other hand, is brought on by the fact that Christians are different. Are they persecuted for worshipping GOD? No! Throughout history, worshipping god is not a reason for persecution, although in some instances it may have been justification for fighting to see whose god is strongest!

No, the reason for hating and persecuting Christians may be very clearly articulated. Christians have a “code of ethics”; they have an objective boundary line (the Bible) on their moral behavior. This angers those who don’t want any limits on their behavior, or at least don’t want anyone limiting their assessment of what is morally acceptable to them. (These are Satan’s useful idiots – often associated with Communism or worship of the state and man). Additionally, it is offensive that Christianity (from Biblical teaching) is “exclusive”. By that, it means that Christ is the only way to salvation, and all other ways are false!

In ancient days, Christians were entertainment for the masses and fed to the lion’s, or used as torches to light Nero’s garden parties. They were second class citizens who had no rights, nor did they garner any respect. They were the “untouchables” of the day!

Over time, it became apparent that they were not a threat to society, and that they were an asset instead because they could be relied upon for honest dealings and high quality work and workmanship as well as being peaceable and law abiding. This led to Constantine (Roman Emperor) making Christianity the state religion. This politicized Christianity which was wrong, although over the long run, in GOD’s providence led to the Protestant Reformation and the greatest prosperity man has ever known!

Fast forward to today’s society. America has a political party called the Democrats. They hate Christianity, true Christians, GOD, Jesus Christ and the Bible. A large part of the Republican Party is of the same sentiments, although maybe not so adamantly. And, part of the Republican Party is supportive of Christianity and Biblical morality.

The Democrats, to the best of this writer’s knowledge and observations, do not seem to have any limits on moral behavior. Here’s a list of what Democrats have demonstrated as acceptable to them, and therefore are morally acceptable to them as well.

1.) The right to terminate the life in the womb which is known as abortion.

a.) Not only are there no limits as to taking the life, but taking the life up until the actual delivery is acceptable to many if not all Democrats – at least those in power! (Some even support terminating the life after the birthing takes place.)

2.) The right to steal. In San Francisco (a Democrat run city where Republicans have no power and are as rare as a downtown street without needles and feces), you can steal up to $949.99, and it is a misdemeanor which will not be prosecuted. It is not known, but likely not the case, if anyone is keeping track of those who steal more than the limit? And, when will the private property rights denied to the corporate and business interests soon be denied to everyone? Think about it – why should you be allowed to own a car, have any money, nice clothes, sun glasses or whatever. Indeed, what right do you have to even live in your own home or even call it your own?

3.) Dishonest weights and measures are condemned by the Scripture and yet the Democrats embrace them in fiat currency which disrupts the economy and undermines individual wealth.

4.) Debt is condemned in the Bible, and yet the Democrats revel in debt and promote it more and more until its burden is unbearable.

5.) Sexual immorality is condemned in the Bible, and yet the Democrats promote the LGBTQIA agenda along with pornography, “free love” and transgeder ideology and surgery without parental consent.

6.) Homelessness – people living in filth and squalor, laguishing on the street stupefied by drugs and defecating on the sidewalk spreading disease and attracting rat populations.

So, you can see some of the top issues that reveal the Democrats for having either a very low standard of morality, or no standard of morality at all. Whatever their “standard” may be, it in no way conforms to the Biblical standard by which America was founded, and upon which America relied well into the 20th century. Indeed, in the 2008 Democrat National Convention, they overtly voted GOD out of the convention!

Because Christians oppose the above listed activities, they are anathema to the state which promotes them, and which is dominated by the Democrats. The Democrats are gaining ground, and the Christians are losing ground! Why? This writer believes it is because of cowardly church leaders who preach only salvation (grace), and hardly ever any of the law which confronts the sinful morality, and so the Democrats and America’s civil body politic decline into the abyss of a moral cesspool which has no limits and continues to head to the bottomless pit of depravity. Why would anyone want to be a member of a church who didn’t teach them to live in this world with a Biblical understanding of GOD’s law and its proper application in the civil body politic? As Christian author Francis Schaeffer once wroter “How shall we then live?“
