Envy is a very powerful and motivating emotion. A friend once went to South Africa and noticed something interesting. All of the tribal families huts were exactly the same size! The attitude was that if person had succeeded at something (had something bigger or better), and nobody else had that same success, then the successful person must have cursed the unsuccessful person(s) holdings. The obvious thing to do is not to strive to achieve greater success, but instead to condemn and even eliminate the successful person. Is that what is going on in America today?
