The above high rise holds 278 units. Los Angeles has over 50,000 homeless. Therefore, to treat all homeless people equally, L.A. only needs to build another 180 of these high rises. What a deal! More pictures and video HERE!
This is certainly a very strong incentive to be homeless. It is also a very strong decentive to work, save and own a home for which you have a vested interest and responsibility! Keep in mind, the homeless will not have to pay property taxes which in California are very high! They also will not have any maintenance costs, and likely not even any utility costs. There will be no cost for a gym membership as the gym is included.
All of that will add up to a subsidy of another $20K a year or more. Then, of course, they will likely get free food and money to spend which will likely add up to another $10K a year. This will give them an equivalent income of well over $70K a year, for which they do nothing, and their only qualification was that they were lazy, slovenly, degenerate, down on their luck homeless outcast people. Per chance is you heart paplpatating; purveying properly propitious pontification of pure pulchritude for the poor?
