This writer is neither a fan nor an opponent of Trump. He’s the most enigmatic U.S. President this writer can ever recall. He could be false opposition, or he could be legitimate. He could be controlled opposition, or a loose canon! Who knows?

What is interesting is his current criminal trial in New York! Why is it interesting? Historically, the prosecution gets to do the opening argument, and the defense gets to do the closing argument. In Trump’s trial, the prosecution gets to do the closing argument making it much more difficult for the defense to convince the jury of doubt about Trump’s guilt. How and why did this dramatic shift in jurisprudence and protocol take place? It cannot be denied that this IS a double standard!
