U.S. to ban coal completely HERE and HERE and HERE! Coal produces 16.2% of U.S. electricity. That sounds like a modest percentage, but consider the following. 60% of U.S. electricity comes from fossil fuels, and the U.S. is committed to banning fossil fuels as well, and has taken numerous steps to do that. Hydro electric represents 6.2% of U.S. electric production. Add those three together, and you come up with 82% of our electricity. All that added up is a highly significant percentage.
Now, let’s look at solar – it’s a mere 3.9% of U.S. electricity. Wind generates a bit more at 10.2%. Wind and solar combined are 14.1% of U.S. electricity production. Add to that, the sun doesn’t always shine – especially in the winter east of the Mississippi river. Also, the wind doesn’t always blow. As a result, fossil fuel electric plants run 24/7/365 to back up wind and solar. The result of getting rid of fossil fuels and coal will be massive black and brown outs. America will be a third world nation based upon that philosophy. We are a strong nation economically and politically because we have reliable energy for manufacturing, living conditions, medical care, food production, distribution or and marketing of food and products. Without electricity, all that will go away.
Also, consider that the Chinese are building one coal powered electricity plant a week. Yes, you heard correctly – one a week!!! Is it possible that the Communist Chinese are behind much of the Biden/Leftist/Mother Earth worshipping agenda? It would certainly be to their benefit if the U.S. just faded out of the international picture without them having to fire a shot or shed a drop of their own blood!
