Ignorant is defined HERE! Why people are ignorant is subject to a number of factors. The obvious one is that we are all ignorant, only in different subjects and to varying degrees because none of us are omniscient (all knowing). Based upon that general observation, is there a list of subjects that should be understood by the average person? The first that comes to mind is the Bible and what it teaches. The Bible teaches the relevant and applicable facts for our eternal soul, and how we should live in this temporal world. Ignorance of the Bible is rampant in America, and throughout the world. The cost of that ignorance will be covered below.

Why are they ignorant? Firstly, it may have to do with being raised by ignorant parents, family or guardians. It can also be a willful attitude that causes intentional learning about and study of the subject of the Bible and the Christian religion to be assiduously avoided. It can also be by external forces such as the mass media, church leaders, friends, neighbors and the general public and its attitudes toward the Bible and religion which are negative and ill or misinformed.

As a result of the ignorance of that one subject, we suffer much. The next thing, for Americans at least, is the Constitution. How many know that the purpose of the Constitution, is to RESTRAIN evil government (not individual citizens). Why do we need to restrain government? Go back to the Bible, and it teaches Romans 3:10 – 18 that man is totally depraved and there is no good in him. Therefore, if that assertion is true, then putting power into the hands of any man, or group of men, is highly risky, and history is replete with first hand accounts of the devastation caused by unrestrained government. A brief listing would include Caesar, Ghengis Kahn, Napolean, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Hugo Chavez, George W. Bush and many more. All of these people’s transgressions may be easily accessed on the internet albeit with some biases included.

In the 20th Century (1900 – 1999) more people were killed by their own governments, than all of the wars of history combined! This would hopefully be an incentive for Americans to be well informed as to the purpose and function of the U.S. Constitution! Sadly, that is not only not the case, but the massive influx of people who are totally ignorant of the Constitution and the history of America’s culture and Christian foundation, will overrun America and Americans so that their history will no longer be of any consequence. Ignorance is an expensive price to pay for one’s national sovereignty, individual freedom, family, property and health!

So, why are people ignorant? Go back two paragraphs to Romans 3: 10 – 18, and, the bottom line is the sinful nature of man, or as Calvin put it; “The total depravity of man!”. Ah, but that is too harsh you say! Maybe so, but is it not rather harsh to enslave people, and torture and murder people at will? Well, if you’re a Sadist or a Masochist, maybe not? As man, in America and throughout the world, continues to devolve (hey, if we can evolve, then we must be able to devolve!), we are likely to see many things that only a couple of decades ago would have been totally unimaginable.

Let’s examine some recent occurrences of which many, if not most, will appear in other posts on this BLOG. We have people openly taking drugs and/or defecating in broad daylight on the streets of major U.S. cities. We have illegal immigrants pouring accros our “OPEN” boder (something the U.S. Constitution says is supposed to be protected by the Federal government), and they are bringing with them diseases such as chagas, tuberculosis, malaria, and many many more diseases. We see violent and murderous organizations like Antifa and BLM riot and cause billions of dollars of damage and deaths with little to no prosecution of the offenders while J-6 “insurrectionist” (a misnomer) rot in jail for years without so much as a hearing let alone a trial! We see a sitting U.S. President running for reelection and way ahead at 10 p.m. on election night, wake up to a staggering defeat in the morning because of a rigged election that nobody in power will examine. Then we’ve seen a plandemic of COVID 19 used to lock up America and scare people into getting injected with an “experimental use authorization” (EUA) shot which did not, at the time, fit the definition of a vaccine. People were forced to wear masks and “social distance” – none of which was beneficial, and to a significant extent was detrimental. (See scores of other posts on this BLOG). People died, suffered life-long disabilities and economic hardships as a result! We can also see in real time the push for WW III as the Biden administration pokes the Russian Bear, and subsidizes America’s Ukrainian proxy for the purpose. Then we see America side with Israel in the genocide of the Palestinians! Lastly, but not leastly, we see the total debuachery of our U.S. currency known as the dollar. Feeling the pinch yet?

The above is just a short list of transgressions for which nobody should be ignorant, but they are! Why are they ignorant? It may be well because that makes them happy to not know what’s going on around them for fear they would be overwhelmed? Well, sad to say, you have been overwhelmed, and it may be too late, apart from a divine intervention, to do anything about it!

Ignorance may be the most expensive and devastating condition on the planet today! A close second would be apathy!
