Questions For Cashless Society Proponents?

What If….?

Know this; all in person commerce will require the use of your cell phone!

What if:

The power goes out – cashless won’t work

The bank makes a mistake (a transposition or failure to enter a deposit)?

The bank cuts you off because you said something that wasn’t nice (politically incorrect)!

The bank cuts you off because you tried to purchase something they don’t like (guns, cigarettes, booze etc.)?

There’s a programming or data entry mistake?

The bank/government confuses you with someone with a similar or same name?

You commit an infraction that voids your “right” to use the cashless system?

You are charged the incorrect amount?

You get multiple billings on the same purchase?

You get charged for a product or service you never bought or used?

You made an erroneous entry?

You forgot your cell phone?

Your cell phone battery didn’t get charged up or the battery just ran down?

Your cell phone got stolen?

Your cell phone malfunctions (defective, dropped, got wet, contact points wearing out etc.)?

The reader malfunctions?

Someone uses your cell phone without your knowledge or permission?

Your cell phone (bank account) gets hacked?

You are extorted out of money on your cell phone (relatives being held hostage)?

You get defective product and need to return it? (Remember cashless doesn’t need people!)

These are just a few possibilities, and certainly, you the reader, could probably come up with some questions this writer didn’t think of. Keep in mind, in a cashless society, you do not own your money, and the trend of the “Big Boys” is to eliminate competition, and thereby reducing the need for high quality service and/or products. Ultimately the goal is to have just one bank, and they will handle the accounts of 350 million Americans! You want to clean up a problem? Take a number, and they’ll get back to you by email in a couple of weeks – maybe! Is sacrificing freedom and privacy for a little convenience all that great?
