Bail Bonding? There are some serious problems with the system, and some compassion along with a judicious approach needs to be examined, altered beneficially and implemented effectively. This video is emphasizing petty crimes, but what about rape, murder, assault, armed robbery, car jacking, car theft, drunk and/or reckless driving? One size fits all does not always work, so what’s the solution?
Keep in mind, that the justice system in America is just that – a “system”. It is a system that employs people in the courts, counselors, attorneys, police/policing, and all of the attendant people such as clerks, janitors, vendors, automobiles, mechanics etc. to implement all of the needs for the “system”. It is a self-perpetuating thing. As Thomas Jefferson said; “If men were angels, there would be no need for government.” So, what is the solution?
In this writer’s estimate, the poor minorities need good leadership in their own communities. They need people who will set a stellar example, and offer wise advice. Additionally, the poor minority communities need to understand that they cannot just rely upon mindless liberalism that cries the blues whenever somebody suffers. There are plenty of people in minority communities who have quietly pulled themselves up by the boot straps (so to speak), and have avoided becoming criminals. No matter how difficult your upbringing, there is no excuse (or right) to sin. The liberals do not understand this, and so they try to blame the “system” and the “culture” (environment) and the “economy” etc. for all of the woes in the world, and especially the woes of the “poor” and “minority” people.
Let’s take a look at poverty in America today. The poor, with the exception of those who by choice (yes, it is a choice if you avoid the safety net of a good Biblically run church), are “homeless” The “homeless” do not want to be accountable to anyone, and that even goes for the rich. The poor and minorities have at least one cell phone, TV, furniture, clothing, food (food banks and SNAP readily available), potable running water, electricity and more. Roughly 85% of the world’s poor has none of that except for some basic clothing and maybe a cell phone. So, we can see that “poor” is relative. Are there “rich”. Of course, and as Jesus said; “You will have the poor with you always.” He didn’t say it, but there will be rich with you always as well. Get over it, and pull yourself up by the boot straps, and behave lawfully.
