A Christian Response To The Texas Mass Shooting In A Church.

In the Beatle’s movie Help, a mystery, Ringo Starr made the comment; “There’s more here than meets the eye.”  The three most recent and egregious mass shootings in America were; Republicans playing baseball in Washington, D.C., conservative concert goers in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Baptist Christians in Sutherland Springs, Texas.  So far, no mass shootings of Democrats, liberals, leftists, Antifa, or atheists.  Is there more here than meets the eye?  To quote the immortal Warner Brothers character, Bugs Bunny, “mmmm could be!”

The book of Genesis tells the story of Joseph and his brothers’ betrayal of him.  Joseph said to his brothers, “You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.”  “A sparrow does not fall from the sky apart from God’s will.”  “We”, Christians, “are counted as sheep for the slaughter.”  Man, apart from the Spirit of God working in his heart, hates God, His word and His absolute sovereignty.  Yes, this was a hate crime as are all crimes.  I’ve never heard of a love crime.
