Tech layoffs HERE! Tech layoffs are not necessarily new, but here is a new twist to them. If indeed AI is putting people out of work, then will the economy find ways to replace these people’s jobs, or will we end up with UBI (Universal Basic Income) which will be most Socialist and dehumanizing to people. It’s probably a little too early to tell for sure, but something we need to keep an eye on. UBI may well be a catalyst for a new crypto currency as well – one that will be forced upon us at the expense of no more cash – ergo no more freedom or privacy!
