Heaven – everyone has heard of it; everyone wants to go there. Is Heaven a man conceived idea or a God breathed reality? Let’s just say for fun that Heaven is a man conceived idea. What is it then?

Muslims can’t go to Heaven unless they do certain deeds including prayers regularly. Muslim men are taught that Heaven is a place where they will have a plethora of virgins, lots of treats in the way of food, alcohol and drugs, and nothing but self-indulgence. The problem with that is that it is focused on the individual human being’s wants, which could vary, and when in Muslim Heaven, there might be jealousy or envy if someone wanted something they had not thought of or seen before hand? What will it take to satiate (satisfy) each individual. Will they continue to want more and more? Will they want things they can’t or shouldn’t have? Will they be denied anything? If so, who will deny them?

Then there are the reincarnationists (Hindus and others), and their idea is that they must live a perfect life so they can go to “Nirvana”. Until they live a life of perfection, they must go through reincarnations. If they lived a bad life, they might come back as a cock roach. If they lived a good life as an impoverished person, they might come back as a wealthy person with many possessions. But, can they ever live a perfect life? Who defines a perfect life? Who judges if a perfect life has been lived?

Atheists want Heaven on earth. You can see them working toward that through the political arena as well as their own lusts for material things, wealth and/or personal power as well as their worship of an all powerful, all knowing state.

The Roman Catholics say that you go to Purgatory before you go to Heaven. Purgatory is a place where you clean up your act, and then you can go to Heaven. Roman Catholics, like Jews, Hindus and Muslims, rely upon works to obtain Heaven.

The problem with all of the above is that man is in control of his destiny. Now, let’s consider this thought. If there is a Heaven, and this writer believes there is, then there must be someone in Heaven who “calls the shots” so to speak. Otherwise, it would be anarchy which would not be Heaven. GOD is a God of order and that includes all spheres and all time (eternity)! That is, if GOD is who He says He is!

If that’s the case, then GOD runs the show in Heaven! Will GOD be wanting to watch some guy have sex with lots of virgins? That’s most doubtful. Will GOD look upon a cock roach and decide to bring it to Heaven? Not likely! What will GOD think of Heaven on earth? Likely He will reject that idea, as He rules from and in Heaven. He doesn’t want any competition, and indeed will not allow it. In the Bible, there is no mention whatsoever of Purgatory, and indeed, Jesus says to one of the thieves on the cross that he will be with Jesus in Paradise that day! No wait time, no evaluation time, no works to satisfy GOD Luke 23:43.

Hebrews 9:27 tells us death is but once – no reincarnation. The Bible does contrast Heaven and Hell. Scripture paints a very ugly and bleak picture of Hell with people being tormented for eternity – plagued by heat, thirst, darkness and torment. On the other hand, we are told that we cannot imagine what awaits us in Heaven, although we are given a glimpse. Heaven has no night, all tears are wiped away, we will have a mansion, we will be in GOD’s presence for eternity! God will run Heaven as He pleases, and He will bring in only those whom He pleases to have in His company. It’s likely that Heaven will be a constant worship service, although maybe there will be enjoyment and fellowship as well – we do not know. If GOD says we can’t imagine, then He speaks the truth authoritatively!

Remember, over 500 people witnessed the resurrected Jesus Christ I Cor 15:6! Who has ever witnessed a cock roach being reincarnated? Who has ever witnessed Purgatory? Who has ever witnessed Heaven on Earth?

Now many think the Bible to be untrue, contrived and just fantasy to serve the wealthy and powerful and allow them to manipulate and control the masses. If that were true, then one must ask Qui bono? That is a Latin phrase for who benefits? Obviously the Apostles, many disciples and early Christians lived lives of poverty and persecution, so they did not benefit. And, yes, for centuries, the Roman Catholic church oppressed the masses and kept them in poverty while cozying up with Kings and Princes.

The Roman Catholic church was overthrown by the Protestant Reformation HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE. Much more may be said as this is just a sampling. The bottom line is that the Protestant Reformation ended up bringing great freedom and prosperity to the masses. America is a major fruit of the Reformation. America is also very corrupted by those who hate GOD and Christ. They are, knowingly or unknowingly agents of Satan. GOD’s moral law is as relevant today as in the Garden of Eden, and without it there is weeping and gnashing of teeth! Earthquakes, fires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and droughts are all chastisements from GOD because of our failure to obey His “revealed” will Deuteronomy 29:29.
