What Do Former President Jimmy Carter & Former Beatle John Lennon Have In Common?

Jimmy Carter & John Lennon

At Jimmy Carter’s funeral yesterday, all former U.S. Presidents as well as President Biden were in attendance. Many world and national dignitaries were present as well. Jimmy Carter received accolades for being a Christian and having once been a Sunday school teacher! John D. Rockefeller was a deacon in the church. Worldly/political status does not confer Christian status!

One of John Lennon’s most famous songs was sung by none other than Nashville’s best selling artists Garth Brooks at the funeral – the song Imagine! Apparently JImmy’s “Christian” influence didn’t translate to his family and followers. Below are the lyrics which are atheistic and Socialist if not Communist! :

Imagine there’s no heaven (no heaven – no God)
It’s easy if you try (just feel it – warm and fuzzy)
No hell below us (No devil no judgment)
Above us, only sky (no God)

Imagine all the people
Livin’ for today (grab all you can get – no judgment ahead!)
Ah

Imagine there’s no countries (no U.S. to enjoy freedom)
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for (nothing with intrinsic and eternal value)
And no religion, too (no standard for right and wrong)

Imagine all the people
Livin’ life in peace (peace with the devil?)
You

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us (“us”?)
And the world will be as one (a one world government dictatorship?)

Imagine no possessions (by 2030 you’ll own nothing and be happy)
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man (French Communist term)

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world (Socialist ideology)
You

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one (“one” what?)

John Lennon was a dreamer, and maybe even a Satanic schemer, but he certainly wasn’t a Christian, and singing that song at Carter’s funeral is obscene, irreverent and blasphemous! Shame on Garth Brooks, and his wife Trisha Yearwood. Shame on the people who chose the song! Shame on America for not speaking out against such an atrocity!
