Licensing is a method government employs to manipulate, control and generate revenue. With it, they determine who can drive, practice medicine, build a building, fix a leak, wire a light, facilitate the flow of gas, etc.

Have you ever seen a licensed driver drive drunk, run a red light, run a stop sign, speed, drive recklessly, act rudely or whatever? Yeah, you know you have, and yet the state has licensed them, to drive. Licensing means NOTHING! All it means is that the government successfully extorted money out of you and thereby creating the impression you are qualified to do what you’re doing. Ever have a bad dentist or doctor? How about a bad plumber, electrician, contractor etc? Businesses get licensed and proceed to rip people off and do them a disservice of shoddy work. Yet they can, not always, remain licensed.

One of the most significant things, after generating power and revenue, licensing does is to eliminate the idea of caveat emptor – Latin for let the buyer beware. People have been neutralized to that thinking, and if someone or thing has a license, then they are considered qualified and satisfactory to do what they’re doing.
