Jesus Christ is the “light of the world”! As you can see, the scum keeps out the light from a pond! Everything below the scum dies off, and it is dark below the scum! It’s possible to translate from this example a real life example when it comes to people. As St. Paul says in Romans 18 – 22 ungodly men suppress the truth – they censor. Jesus says “I am the way, the truth and the life.” So when men “suppress the truth”, they are keeping the light (Christ) out. Therefore, the analogy to everyday life is that wicked men function like scum on a pond; floating on at the top causing everything below to suffocate and die off. They rob the people of life giving light!
How do they do that? Kicking Christians, Christ and the Bible out of the public square is one way. More recently it has been made most manifest by the overt and rampant censorship that is being used to deny people the ability to hear the truth about Christ, Christianity, the Bible, true churches, vaccines, Joe Biden’s corruption, rigged elections, rigged juries in the Trump case, and so on.
Censorship is not silencing people so much as it is keeping people from hearing what others have to say. In that way, the censors are scum, and they amount to the likes of “Mainstream media”, George Soros, Bill Gates, Joe Biden, and a whole host of others. If you dislike censorship, then do something about it!
