The following quote from Deuteronomy Chapter 16 verses 18 and 19 is most prescient. Can you see the truth of it?

¹⁸ “You shall appoint judges and officers in all your ^[a]gates, which the Lord your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment. ¹⁹ You shall not pervert justice; you shall not ^[b]show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and ^[c]twists the words of the righteous.

Have you noticed partiality being accorded in favor of certain people over other less favored people, and our “judges” (elected officials included) turning a blind eye to many important issues? Have you noticed them coming up with incomprehensible, inconsistent and indefensible explanations and excuses for their decisions and actions? What exactly is a campaign contribution in most cases but a “bribe”? Wake up! The Bible has wisdom that applies to everyone whether believer or unbeliever!
