New Movie 7/3/23 “Sound of Freedom” – A Review!

Jim Caviezel – Best Known For His Role In The Passion

Current box office performance of this movie – it’s stunning HERE! Hollywood elite on the defensive HERE!

Pensiamento Peligroso went to the premier last night and was highly impressed. Most people in Hollywood are self-promoters who feign some kind of sympathy for a cause. Occasionally, it’s sincere, but rarely IMHO! In Caviezel’s case, the sincerity comes across like a sledge hammer. He’s dead serious about protecting children from sexual exploitation. So is the person whose character he played – Tim Ballard, a DHS agent who laid down his life to do what’s right. This movie took 5 years to get to the screen because of so much resistance to its exposure. Nonetheless, it was worth the wait.

Tim Ballard, husband and father could not turn a blind eye to all of the evil befalling children throughout the world. The movie actually includes some actual footage of kidnappings and police action against these slime-balls!

Caviezel does a totally credible job of portraying Tim Ballard. There is no overacting in this very highly professionally made film. The pacing is good; the cinematography is well executed. The scripting is thoroughly believable and flows seamlessly between characters. The editing maintains good continuity so you’re never lost in the sequence of events.

This story will tug at the strings of the hardest heart; it will immerse you in character study, dialogue, intrigue and settings both foreign and domestic. It takes you behind the scenes without offending your eyes. It is very discretely presented when you consider the depravity and gravity of the subject matter.

IMDb rates the movie at a 7.8 (we’ll see how long that lasts!). This writer would not argue with that, and with other matters considered, this writer might go as far as to rate it an 8.2. There was not a dull moment in the entire film even though much of it requires putting yourself into the shoes of the characters. This is largely a cerebral enterprise with some action.

To put the potential viewer at ease, there is no gratuitous sex, nudity, violence etc. There is absolutely minimal profanity – one word used two or three times. Although the subject matter is mature, it can easily and in good conscience be viewed by kids as young as 12. In fact, kids would do well to understand how vulnerable they can be and to what extent people will go to get their hands on them.

Bottom line, this movie is a must see for its importance to the world’s society.
