Media memes that become part of the daily lexicon, and even become codified in law need to be examined, and so far, nobody has examined it publicly. The question regards the expression “hate crimes“. Is there such a thing as a “love crime”? All crimes reflect hate. Crime is a violation of social norms in how people treat each other and their respective property and peace. If you hit, stab, shoot, beat, kick, taunt, ridicule, yell at or defame people, then that is a reflection of hatred for that person or those people. Therefore, the term “hate crime” is redundant because all crimes are motivated by some element of hate, and certainly not love. It has become a political tool to distort the reality of the situation.
