Aaron Russo was a rare breed in Hollywood.  He ran for Governor of Nevada and almost won.  The Rockefellers courted him.  He produced great movies like Trading Places starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd.  He made the above documentary, and probably lost his life because of it.  He died of cancer at age 64.
